Death comes calling

My friends, i can't think of anyone who reads this blog who would not have received the email that i sent out Christmas day announcing the death of my dear Sandy, the half-shepherd half-heeler who came into my life ten years ago this month.

In the event that you have arrived at this page not having heard this news, you will at least now know the reason i have not made the post i'd promised for Dec. 20 .. Sandy had been ill for 3 to 4 days previous, and finally left this world the night of the 21st. She was 14 1/2 years old.

I'm doing better, and hope to re-visit you all here within the week. Thanks for your patience, and for the many kind words of condolence and encouragement i've received from so many of you.
