birthday shopping days

Any members of the Faithful Readership who were scratching their heads over what to get for my birthday which is fast approaching: fret no more! There are now about 21 shopping days until my 46th birthday (!) and to simplify things, i've recently expanded my Wish List at Amazon.

Shameless, am i not?

btw, Their website says any Amazon.com user can locate your list by searching for your name -- type Dougie -- or e-mail address, so get to it. i've listed 50 books which display in order by date added, but you can also re-sort the list in order of price or priority.

This Men of Hawai'i calendar would also be great and is cheap as hell.

So get busy. Or get that postcard ready for snail-mail delivery, you know how i like getting postcards.

Birthday Shout-outs!

#1: HAPPY BIRTHDAY AGENT LIVIL! Life-support system from my Amsterdam daze Liv Aanrud turned the big two-six 8/26. We at AM, hD, tR are still waiting for news of how the celebration went down.

#2: Lara Leghetto -- one of a group of sexy Italian chicks i hung out with in the 'dam -- hit the big three-two on 8/14. Buon natale, cara mia! i forgot how to say happy birthday in italiano, so "merry christmas" was the best i could come up with on the spot.

#3: Last of the Amsterdam bunch celebrating a birthday in August, on the 7th: Alex Appierdo! God love ya Al, et bonne chance avec the MBA.

Coming up in September
HAPPY ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY Martin and Jennifer, 9/4! Man i wish i coulda made it to your wedding, but who knows where i might pop up next? Um, you guys are still together, right?

Kristoff Ellertz, you've forgotten me you bum, but you're getting a card from me, surprise! This bigtalking Belgian beerdrinking bastard turns 33 on the 9th.

Agent Tastik, founder of the agent-c, rolling back 29 on the 11th. His work is still loved, clearly.

Sharing a birthday with the soUrcerer, Kerstin E.! Fijne verjaardig liefje!

Miranda van Alem van Harmelyn, big birthday kisses on the 19th from across the Atlantic to you my dear. How i would love to jump out of your birthday cake and surprise you!
