Heartwood is a GO!
i had an hour-and-20-minute phone interview with a Heartwood representative last Tuesday evening, and i am tickled to report to The Readership my acceptance. Was there ever any doubt? (Now if my soon-to-be-ex-buddy Martin were reading this with any regularity whatsoever, he would get a huge laugh out of that last line, for reasons that go back to an incident that occurred during our senior year in high school when, he alleges, i almost didn't graduate on time, but that's another story.)
i'd known before the interview that Heartwood has a strict no-pets policy, so i'm now focusing on finding someone in the nearby town of Garberville who would be willing to take Sandy in for the six months i'm there. Next item on the agenda is to get my own website up and running, where i can upload my favorite photo of me and Sandy -- have you seen it? the one where i'm brushing here on a beach? -- so that potential dog-lovers in the Garberville area can have a look at the beautiful poochie they might be so lucky to look after!
Got lots more stuff to share, but i'm at the library which is closing in ten minutes. Prayers and positive thoughts that i find full-time work soon are still greatly appreciated.
peace, love + light!

Let me be the first (poster, anyway) to say CONGRATULATIONS! It's so exciting to achieve a dream. Or at least, take the all-important first step towards achieving that dream! Honestly, I had no doubt that anyone who would talk to you would know that you are the "enige echte" or, for the non-Dutch speakers, "the REAL DEAL"!! Can't wait to hear more...

Well, you were the first to say congrats HERE u damGirl u, hartstikke bedankt!
Hey, the postal dudes did not intercept your 'spread the word' postcard [depicting a drawing of a woman and her "naked boobies" as you so aptly put it]. It was received here 3/19, and what a very kewl concept: World Book Day. I hadn't read any of the 5 you listed, although coincidentally i was just perusing sections of Al Franken's Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them', definitely on my Must Read list. I've come across some other immensely interesting books too lately, and will try to include info about a few of them in this week's update.

Rock on! I'm glad you got the postcard. I have a couple more book recommendations for you:
- "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger: it's very sweet and sad, and I couldn't put it down!
- "The Plot Against America" by Philip Roth: I'm most of the way through it, and it is equal parts terrifying and brilliant.
