My sister Eileen

There was so much going on in April that i never got around to mentioning the week-long visit of my sister, Sr. Eileen, to Rochester. It was great to re-connect, and i was especially glad we got the opportunity to get out of town together. We drove down to the SUNY campus at Geneseo to hear James Loewen speak, author of Lies My Teacher Told Me, a book i'd read a few years back and which was a great read. Loewen had a packed hall to speak to, and Eileen bought LMTTM at the end. She teaches history, and maybe will excite some of her students to find out the truth beyond what their textbooks tell them!

Now if only i could convince her to cancel her summer hike in Vermont and come camping in California instead!
